Compliance, Corporate Changes & Closing across Canada
A corporation that misses its annual return can be dissolved by the registry without anyone noticing until the bank freezes the account. Addresses change, directors join and leave, names get updated, a second province opens up, a business is sold or wound down. Each has a filing, and each filing has a deadline.
We keep the whole compliance calendar for you, federal and provincial, file every change promptly and keep the minute book current. When it is time to sell or close, we handle the sequence of final filings so that nothing is left open with CRA, the registry or the province.

Compliance, Corporate Changes & Closing: questions we hear most
Short answers. For anything specific to your situation, book a consultation and we will walk through it.
What happens if I miss an annual return?
The corporation falls out of good standing and can eventually be dissolved by the registry, which affects bank accounts, contracts and tax filings. If this has already happened, we file the revival and bring the returns up to date.
Is an annual return the same as a tax return?
No. The annual return is a corporate filing with the registry confirming directors and addresses. The T2 is the tax return filed with CRA. Both are due every year; we file both.
How do I close a business properly?
File final sales tax, payroll and corporate returns, close the CRA program accounts, dissolve the corporation or cancel the registration, and keep records for the required period. We run the sequence so nothing is left open.
Do you provide legal services for sales or share changes?
No. We prepare the administrative documents and filings and work with your lawyer where legal drafting or advice is required.
